The Five Different Facets of The Body

Number 1

Strength and Stability

 Your muscles and tendons must be strong enough to stabilize the joints (along with ligaments). Your muscles must also be strong enough to perform any activities you ask of them. Your core, too, needs to be in optimal condition so the other muscles can work efficiently.

Number 2

Mobility and Flexibility

 Your muscles and tendons need proper extensibility and range of motion to perform their tasks.

Number 3

Endurance and Stamina

Your heart and lungs must be strong enough to pump blood and oxygen to the working muscles.

Number 4

Nutrition

Your body needs fuel (calories) to perform tasks the day you ask. If you are providing your body with enough (and proper) fuel, your body will be able to perform the activities efficiently.

Number 5

Mental Health/Clarity

This aspect is often overlooked in today's medical field. You need to be in a good place mentally to be the best version of yourself.

In an ideal world, injuries and discomfort would never occur. But we don’t live in a perfect world. Injuries often appear when the demand we put on bodily structures (ligaments, tendons, muscles, etc.) is more significant than their ability. This gap between demand and capacity leads to some of these structures working harder, ultimately leading to injury, pain, and discomfort.

The ProActive Personal Training program addresses old nagging injuries and prevents new ones from happening in the future. Like most personal training programs, you will get stronger, more mobile, and more flexible and improve your endurance. That's a given. But with the ProActive program, you'll also enhance heart health, prevent future injuries, and stay out of your MD's office.

To Explain a Little More… When an Injury or Discomfort Occurs, You Have Two Options Available to You:

Option 1

Lower the demand to meet the ability. 

This is the standard advice, which goes something like…“Rest” and “Take It Easy” and hope the injury goes away on its own – with the mistaken belief that the structures will “magically” strengthen themselves to prevent future injuries.30-Minute Massage

Option 2

Increase the body’s ability to meet the demand.

This means improving the body's mobility, stability, strength, and endurance to meet our daily needs. We don’t know about you… 

but we choose Option 2.
